The shark diving cage
| The cage is a specifically constructed steel cage with viewing ports. Sharks are drawn to the cage so you can see them from up close. |
A Shark Diving Cage is the cage that will let you get close to the sharks from a safe place. The cage we use is a specifically constructed steel cage with viewing ports. This cage is able to float on the surface of the water and is connected to the back of the boat. It is a two man cage which will give you a personal experience with the sharks during your shark cage diving tour.
Take your own shark photos
The Shark Diving Cage was designed so that divers are able to take their own photos from the cage. Have these pieces of memorabilia forever when you go Shark Cage Diving and be able to show your friends and family photos of the sharks that you took yourself.
All shark cage diving is done under the auspices of experienced crew who have first aid & oxygen management, scuba & commercial skippers’ qualifications and have expert knowledge of the behaviour of sharks around the cage.
note: You do not need a scuba qualification to shark cage dive. You will be able to snorkel in the cage and take your own shark photos.
How are the sharks drawn to the cage?
The only way you will be able to see the sharks from a point blank range, is by drawing the sharks closer to the cage in which you sit.
As you descend into the underwater world that is home to the Great White, the sharks will be drawn closer using small amounts of tuna for bait.
No sharks are purposefully fed and no sharks are pulled directly towards the cage as we do not want to injure these animals in any way.
Feel the adrenaline pumping as the sharks start to smell the bait and curiously come and inspect the cage in which you sit. See the sharks gracefully glide in front you as you sit protected in a steel cage that was designed to get you as close to the sharks as possible.
